The Libby Dam Visitor Center will be open from 9am to Noon on Saturday, May 14 to celebrate International Migratory Bird Day and National Kids to Parks Day. Several live raptors (hawks, owls and eagles) will be on hand, and visitors may view the birds up close and speak with the handlers. Handlers will give short educational presentations periodically throughout the morning. Family-friendly activities will be available throughout the visitor center. Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks will also be present with Bear Aware information (and a stuffed bear!) as well as representatives from the Lincoln County Conservation District with info on stream permits and youth programs. Lincoln County Animal Control will also be on hand with information and activities. Bring your binoculars and scan the nearby hills for wildlife including nesting Osprey and Bald Eagles!
