Come out to Tims Ford State Park on Saturday, May 14th for a day full of birding and bird-related activities in honor of International Migratory Bird Day. We will kick off with an early morning birding workshop starting at the park Visitor’s Center at 8:00AM CST. This workshop will teach some of the basics of bird watching and travel throughout the park with beautiful views of Tims Ford Lake. At 1:00PM, meet at the Recreation Hall for a bird box building event to volunteer with constructing new Bluebird boxes across the park. Finally, join the park rangers for an evening owl prowl at 8:00PM at the Visitor’s Center. On this sunset walk, you can learn how to communicate with the owls and maybe even see some flying about the evening sky!
