Diversity Outreach Coordinator

Born in the outskirts of Mexico City, Daniel Lopez moved to southern California at the age of 5. After graduating from the University of California, Riverside, Daniel was an intern with EFTA through the Latino Heritage Internship Program.  He is now helping coordinate LHIP 2017 and is dedicating his time as the Youth and Community Diversity Outreach Coordinator.  Working primarily in Longmont, Colorado, he is encouraging families of color to enjoy the outdoors and creating a space for outdoor experiences. His favorite bird is the hummingbird, because in indigenous Mexican tradition, hummingbirds are ancestors visiting from the afterlife to bring companionship and support.
