Bitten by the travel bug after finishing her undergraduate degree, Laura spent the next four years following birds in the Arctic, Caribbean, and across the United States. This led to a graduate project studying sub-Arctic breeding shorebirds, including one of her favorites, the Dunlin, in Churchill, Manitoba — culminating in a MSc. Degree in Biology from Trent University. Laura brings a bank of avian knowledge, experience with educational programming, and a deep seated-love of the outdoors to her position with EFTA. She can often be found climbing rocks, biking trails, or skiing mountains throughout Colorado.
