Location: Festival HQ: Sunset Beach Resort: 32246 Lankford Hwy, Cape Charles, VA 23310. Trips and tours take place throughout Virginia’s Eastern Shore wilderness areas, wetlands, barrier islands, seaside towns, bayside refuges, historic gardens and more, from Kiptopeke State Park to Chincoteague Island!

Dates: Thursday thru Sunday, October 6-9

What to Expect: Over 95 field trips, boat trips, walking tours, workshops shell collecting, games, exhibits, nighttime owl prowls, kayaking, photography contest, keynote presentation, evening social event, tram tours, lots of family fun!

Cost: No overall Festival admission. Free events every day. Free family events all day Saturday at Kiptopeke State Park. No park admission fee that day. Many trips are free. Paid events range from $18 to $83. All trips and workshops, even free ones, require pre-registration online.
