Our NSF funded study “Engaging Latino Audiences in Informal Science Education” took place over a four-year period at six study sites across the country.
During this time EFTA staff and interns conducted educational outreach and social marketing of nature & science programs taking place at National Parks. The demographic makeup (age, income, country of origin, income, education, etc) of the Latino communities targeted for this projected varied widely across the study sites. However, we established general strategies that we found were effective for reaching this audience across all sites. We hope you find these ideas & suggestions helpful in your outreach efforts.
