This is a Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) position. If already graduated applicants can not have a graduation date later than Dec. 1st, 2018.

Job Description: There is limited knowledge of the wide variety of activities conducted by the BLM in the Redding area. The intern will help create outreach and education material to assist in broadening the public’s view of the BLM RFO work. One of the goals is to use the ESRI Story Maps formate to create and engaging interface for the public. The intern will also create other outreach materials using things gathered during this method. Applicants are encouraged to have basic computer skills, Arc GIS background, knowledge of natural resource and ecology.

Start/End Date: This an 11 week internship running from the beginning of June to mid August.

Housing: To be determined.

Living conditions: Most work will be conducted in the office in Redding California though travel to field sites and to conduct interviews and collect data is involved.

Vehicle: A vehicle and license are required.

Stipend: $500/perweek
