Environment for the Americas works across the Western Hemisphere engaging people in learning about birds and their conservation. In 2020, we will work with schools and parks in Washington, DC and surrounding areas to teach basic birdwatching skills, to promote World Migratory Bird Day, and to assist with weekend events. The internship is for spring 2020, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through May, with the  possibility for continuation in the fall.

Stipend: Full-time: $400/week; Part-time: Hourly

Qualifications include:

  • Experience working with youth
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills
  • Organized
  • Energetic and enthusiastic
  • Previous knowledge of birds helpful, but not required
