Stephen is from Oxon Hill, Maryland, but likes to travel around a lot! He graduated from the University of Maryland in 2016 with a degree in Sociology and soon moved to Sacramento, California as a member of Americorps NCCC. From there, he traveled around the pacific region completing different volunteer projects including habitat restoration projects in the Mojave Desert. After completing a year of service, he decided to volunteer another year and found the Celebras Las Aves Internship with Environment For The Americas. He had a great time working with EFTA in the Anacostia region of Washington DC teaching about migratory bird conservation. Eventually Stephen returned home, got married and moved to Richmond, VA. He also enjoys reading, hiking, and Nascar!
